    1. I think that the two posts in the middle left third clearly indicate it to be level.
    2. It’s not backlit, it’s side lit.
    3. 50% of this photo is the runway, maybe 8% is turtle, and the rest is sky and trees around the runway. It was accepted because it’s a runway shot…no different than any other. Except that there’s nothing to indicate that it’s a runway instead of a field. I personally think the whole idea was to draw attention to how many runways can you find with tortoises blocking them. The answer so far, is one.
    4. This shot should’ve been rejected for clutter, especially considering that I submitted a pic from Obama’s visit to the Everett factory as my 2012 upload…and they rejected it for “motive” and “clutter”(keeping in mind that the president of the US in the bottom third was the clutter). Now if the turtle isn’t clutter while the president is…well…I think that says something.
    5. Further I don’t understand how the tortoise doesn’t count as either clutter due to blocking the runway, and/or motive since the turtle is clearly not centered.
    6. @ Cary, it’s simple, if you want the screener to accept your shots, just put stuff in them that explain why the color is that way: this is not hard. This photographer clearly wanted to explain why the shot was green, so he included grass. DUH.
    7. Related, only six out of ten screeners agree that grass is green however. Three of the others say it is only ever a sickly yellow/brown, and the fourth curiously says magenta.

So for my yellow-tinted ones, I should put pictures of Asian people in the background? Perhaps my parents? And for "slight yellow tint", I can do a picture of myself? LOL

I'm not going to tell you how to be a photographer Cary, that's for the screeners to do.

My upload with my parents in it has already been rejected!!!

We have had to reject the following photos: - e1341326535.3341caryliao_mg_8660.jpg (China Eastern Airlines Airbus A340-642)

A comment from the screener regarding this upload: "strong yellow cast, very common subject, slanted eyes"
