2012 Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford, UK

On Wednesday this already amazing show confirmed a Slovak Mig-29 & L-410, yesterday they announced a USAF B-2 and today's incredible addition was a Japanese Air Self Defence Force KC-767J. Considering the world's current economic climate the organizers of this show deserve much respect for getting almost 300 aircraft from 24 countries to attend. The USAF support alone at Fairford rivals any airshow on this side of the pond. Here's the participation list as of today:

Although the trip essentially blows my airshow budget for the year nothing overe here come close. Hope to provide some daily updates and photos once I arrive on base July 4th.

It was spectacular Chris! Best RIAT in years according to everyone and I can't disagree. The Black Eagles from South Korea were SPECTACULAR! Other highlights for me were the Vulcan(Oh, than Howl!), Polish Mig-29, French Air Force Rafale and an truly amazing static display! I have over 60 gigs of memory cards to wade through so it's going to take a while. Might have to try and do a report for NYCA for this one. Back to spotting before my flight leaves in a hour.
