Glad I was keeping an eye on the NBC video to notice it was running early. I hoofed it from work over to Pier 84 with a couple of minutes to spare before Enterprise got there. I stuck around to get shots until it started maneuvering close to the Intrepid, when it was too crowded to find a good spot (and I needed to get back to work anyway). I would have loved to stick around to see it being lifted. I'll try to get a couple of photos up this afternoon.

Three quick photos (no processing, just plain RAW-JPEG conversion) from Pier 84:

I went for a little less than an hour. Will upload photos tonight. I didn't have time to stick around for the hook up and craning. It was a good crowd out there for it. Hope those of you who have more time to be there today enjoy the show!

Speedbird there is an excellent "JFK Classic" DVD out there for your needs. I too have this need from time to time to watch Sabena, Swissair, TWA, Flying Tigers, etc. fly again and highly reccommend it

Ha! Mark, classic joke... Cary has an inside connection at A.net :P

VERY nice guys. I have yet to even download my cards... Somehow, my main computer (Lightroom DB) froze during import while I went to bed. This morning I did not have time to re-start so it will be a while for me

However, I can link some of the Instagram stuff

Some photos from Jersey side (Liberty State Park).

Sorry about the quality. we did not have banners showing "Shuttle Enterprise to Intrepid" on our side. Instead we got back light, a lot of moisture from the river, and boats blocking our views. However, there was one good thing, we had the undamaged wing towards us.

FDNY fire boats to lead the parade

A pair of Coast Guard HH-65 did a fly over

A Circle Line Cruise ship wanted to join the parade

The last in the parade was the crane to lift Enterprise onto Intrepid
