    UN Week 2012 - Sept 18 -28, 2012

According to the UN website the 67th regular session schedule:
    • 18 September 2012, at 3 p.m. - Opening of the 67th session at United Nations Headquarters in New York
    • 24 September 2012 - High-level meeting on the rule of law
    • 25 September 2012, at 10 a.m. - Opening of the general debate
According to the Associated Press (AP) website it shows the UN session concluding on Sept. 28th

So............when is the ideal time to catch the visitors arriving? Anytime is my guess, but I think the week and weekend before Sept 18th is a good swag (scientific wild ass guess).

Mark I would say the weekend of the 22-23rd is even better as I don't think things get going until the week of the 24th.

Isn't it a little early for a UN week thread ???
You will never know what you will be capable of until you try

It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

For such an important week, or should I say, three weeks, it should be a running thread :P

As Eric mentioned, the Shuttle threads began a year or more before. Preparation is one sure way to success!

Traditionally, first few days of UN General Assembly is routine stuff & agendas....
The major speeches are always the NEXT.... Mon/Tue/Wed and as far as I can remember, and US President always delivers speech on Tuesdays. (Sept 25th this year).
So most UN(heads of state) traffic will be 22nd &23rd (there will be some arrivals on Friday& Monday too). Yes its an annual event where tons of NYC members will be out spotting exotic UN traffic (tho better chance winning megabucks jackpot than spotting Senga on the UN Weekend)

But doesn't swag stand for "stuff we all get", which would be fitting if we all get a shot at an Il-62M, which I will be obsessed about until it happens

Feels like I was just at the New Years' party I went to, so, no it's not too early

I figured we start the thread so that some of us can plan a little early and give any forewarning to the boss for leave.
