Hawaiian Airbus A330-200 to JFK Tonight 5/17

    According to this thread:

    http://www.airliners.net/aviation-fo....main/5468149/

Hawiian Airlines will be flying in a brand new A330-200 from TLS via AUS to be parked at JFK until Saturday afternoon. I imagine the aircraft is coming in for some gate testing, ground crew familiarization, etc.

    The flight into AUS:

I'll be flying JetBlue into JFK this evening so I'll certainly be looking for the a/c to get a pic, although an A330 among a sea of A320s/E190s certainly won't be hard to spot.

Interesting. The stop in AUS is quite odd, though.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Yes, very odd considering they will be starting non-stops between JFK-HNL next month.

Well, being the "pineapple" is out of the bag. It will be at gate 14 around 2330 tonight and stay there tomorrow so we can test the fit and check the parking system with the new bird. We have a couple of other gates now set up for 330's as a back up. They have been painting all week the "HEAVY" lines and it sure will be interesting. When we are finished testing, it is scheduled to depart tomorrow . Pictures will be posted tomorrow.

I think I was shooting around ISO 4000-5000 with a f-stop of 2.8 and a shutter speed around 1/50 sec, then some posting processing to clean up the noise in the images.
