    JFK 05/09/2012

    was out for a bit today, JFK was departing and arriving on 13L.





    It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

    that's weird when i checked the calendar it said the 9th so I went with it.

    Either way, nice shots! I hate to be a bad spotter, but I hope they don't continue the 13L departures. That was quite loud here this morning.

    how is it any different from when they depart the 4's, its almost the same departure.
    It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

    I guess it really depends on what heading they assign after takeoff. Most rwy 4 departures get heading 100 which puts them a bit further away from me than 13L today. Today, they were going just about directly overhead.

    Oh yes. A BA 744 came overhead not too long ago. It was quite low and loud. Too bad I can't get any shots at night.
