First flight of Japan Airlines 787 into Logan 4/22/12

Hey Guys, Here is just a few shots of the 787 arriving and leaving today. Its Japan flight 8 into Boston and 7 back to Toyko.... The weather was dense fog on arrival and pouring rain on departure...

    Nice work, guys.

Bill Vogt got some great shots from inside the terminal for our feature story: http://www.nycaviation.com/2012/04/j...united-states/
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

As mentioned before, great coverage from all angles.... A true historical moment in the life of 787, that will be plying 'em routes for decades.

Noob here. My photos above. I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Doug. I live in Newburyport. Have been "spotting" for a long time, just not sharing my experiences on any forums until now.

My love of aircraft and aviation started with my dad. He was an Embry Riddle grad and flew DC3s for Provincetown Boston Airways back in the day. I have been taking my 2 year old boy Charlie with me on our latest spotting adventures. He seems to really love it as he high-fives me every time we see a plane pass over at low altitude!

    Doug
