    Taipei Sung Shan Airport - March 2012

    So I am finally getting some time to post photos from trips I've had recently. I spent some time in Taiwan in March and was lucky enough to spend a couple of hours at Taipei's city airport, Sung Shan.

    This airport is the SXM of Asia.

    Up until recently, the airport was primarily a domestic airport with some biz jets, now they are adding foreign carriers for more and more international flights.

    This shot is from the parking garage, the view is limited, I would not recommend even bothering with this spot;

    If you ever have the chance to shoot at this airport, head to the approach end of the single runway, you will get shots like this.

    Instead of blowning sand, it's dead grass.

    I had to throw an Islander in for effect.

    Not the busiest airport but enjoyable to spend a few hours.

    Hope you enjoy,

    AJ

    I just read that B-68801, BN Islander shown in this series of shots is missing and pressumed crashed near Taipei.

    Sad.
