Very nice work, welcome aboard!
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
Thanks, looks like this is going to be fun! What is the preferred long reach lens you guys are using? 100-400?
Welcome! Your HDR's are a good start, watch your halo's though. Very noticable in the first T-6, the L-39 tail shot and A6 cockpit.
Most of the Canon folk here (being that's your gear) have the 100-400. Very versatile and good reach.
Yes the halos, Think they are from sharpening?
Welcome aboard!!! Definitely agree that your HDRs are a good start, but be careful with the halo's. Most spotter's that use Canon use the 100-400mm lens (which is a push-pull lens).
Welcome! Some nice subjects to take photos of make it easier, nice Texan!
I just started messing with HDR's myself. Halos are bad? I thought they looked kind of cool.
Are you in the NY area?
Yes, Long Island. The Halos can be reduced by lowering the Strength and Highlight sliders. The halos are usually a problem when there is alot open sky in the photograph. The Photomatix website has a decent FAQ section, and info on reducing halos was covered.
Jeff
