Great shots of the removal. I gave up at midnight. Just too tired. As of yesterday's schedule SCA 905 is scheduled to depart sometime on Friday. They are waiting on the flight crew that are on different assignments right now

how do you put a youtube video up? I used to be able to do it.

In the quick reply box, there is a button, second from the right, "Insert Video". Copy the youtube URL and paste it int hat dialog box.

nope, no problems. Even the NASA guys came up to chat. there were people up and down all nigh and a few diehards that made it to the wee hours of the morning. One scary moment though, a van had either slowed down or stopped in the North bound lane to view the shuttle and was rear ended at high speed by Taxi. The taxi was totaled. I think every one was ok though.

Mark and Eric, GREAT job on both the photos and video !!
AND seeing it done at night with ALL the spotlights on the Shuttle
makes it even MORE impressive in my opinion !!
BTW, where was Derf ???? He couldn't have asked for a better NIGHT SHOOT !!! Ha !!

I think Derf was operating the crane :)
Just incredible stuff, guys. Sucks I couldn't witness anything or see it, but this is a close second!!

Great shots. Thanks for posting. Guess that NASA and Intrepid wanted few spotters to witness or they would have lifted the Shuttle when more people are around. Now where will they store the SCA until it departs and Enterprise must wait for the barge. In the future. A DVD will be released showing the final journey of Enterprise. A similar DVD was made of the British Concorde's final voyage. Everything boils down to $$$; that's why Enterprise will be hidden in a pavilion which cannot be seen unless tickets are purchased!
The SCA is behind the de-icing tent. You can just barely see the nose of it. Your best shot of seeing it is from HoBe from the bridge. The shuttle is under the tent and will be there till it gets
moved to the barge.
Another words no point in taking a drive over there at this point it seems?
here are a few of my shots from this morning.
only had my wide angle lens at the time
ran back to my car, but Enterprise was already being lowered. still like the shot though.

I was invited but I was still tired from the Manassas airshow. Had a good time but needs some rest
Awesome shots!
The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".
