    ISP - 2/27/12...Yes, Islip

Been quite some time since there was an ISP thread. Had an hour to kill in the morning, and timed it just right. Caught a few SWA 737's on 24 arrival, then went to the departure end for a few shots there as well...

    Then a few departures...

Color may look off, but this GV is painted in a very light shade of blue

and for the rotor heads, the Army National Guard was practicing pattern work as well

There would be more shots if there weren't so many hassles there. Well, that and some more variety.

We linked this on Twitter, and someone replied "How gay did scpd think he was?", likely referencing mine and Mario's encounter in the parking lot where the cops thought we may have been doin the nasty. Or the awesome, depends on how you look at it.

Great shots, John! Glad you didn't get jailed.

    Great shots John!!

Fred, I do remember a fine day around two years ago where someone was taking and posting Travolta's 707 shots from the SCPD parking lot. Who has balls now? lol

That was not balls, if you look really close to my shot from the SCPD facility, you can see it was completely Photoshopped! It was actually taken at Flying Oaks Airport in Texas.

Clearly was not done at the SCPD parking lot as clearly this was taken in texas... I'm just saying!!!

Last time I tried it, I was grilled by 6 detectives for 4 hours and got a bunch of my stuff confiscated for a few weeks. So forgive me for giving up on the airport. :(

That was 7 years ago. I got a huge hassle there too one time but you have to move on. Homeland Security was never perfect.
