    Anyone selling Nikon lens?

    Hey guys,

A friend of mine wanted me to ask if anyone had an 18-70mm Nikon brand lens that they are looking to sell. Let me know.

    Thanks!

Why would he want that? This much better and half the price.

He's using it for an older D70 body that he is converting to Infrared. He said he has read that that lens works best with the converted body.

Anyways... I have one but it comes with a D70 attached to it... if he is interested, I can always work out a deal. I have all the original material and all. D70 has a cracked head (sic) and the flash won't lock down (stays open all the time) so the deal will consider this fact. I rather sell as-is than send to Nikon for repair first and then try and re-coup the costs.

    PM or E-mail if interested.

And as good as Canon is, Steve... AF on that 5D MkII is a PIG! and you would enjoy better Flash and lenses too on this side (let the flaming begin)

It isn't worth fixing, Nikon will charge you at least $100 to fix and on ebay they are only going for $150 or so. I got $210 for mine which was a D70s with a battery grip and that was with 12,000 actuations.

Steve I have the lens as well but as Manny said I can only part with it as part of a kit with my D200. Unfortunately It won't be available for at least a month. Maybe two. IMO his best bet is ebay you can get one cheap there ASAP.

I picked up my D70s off the bay as body-only so I would have something that would AF the 50mm 1.4D, which I of course purchased just before the AF-S version was released.

i got rid of my D70 and 18-70mm a while ago. i do have the 80-400mm VR that i'd consider selling if the price were right.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
