Headed over to HoBe for a little bit this morning for some 31L departures. Just as I was turning into the lot, I saw an AA One World 777 making the most amazing banking turn...if only I'd made that last light.

Spent a little time catching up with Tom T while watching the traffic, good to see you as always!

The SAA A340 had this on the nose - for the Chinese New Year?

HoBe - short for Howard Beach and the spotting location

HoBe is the name we use for the parking area just south of Howard Beach. On the JFK Spotting Guide http://www.nycaviation.com/spotting-guides/jfk/ it is located at Point A. Take Cross Bay Blvd south from the Belt Parkway, and after you cross over the bridge just south of the community, there is a traffic light at the bottom of the hill. The parking lot is on the left side, facing the airport.
