    Piedmont F-28-1000 Jumpseat Photos

Back in 1989 I somehow ended up in Syracuse and needed to get back home to NJ.

Piedmont was great at getting their employees home, allowing jumpseat if the captain didn't mind.

This set of slide scans were from one of many jumpseat rides that I did with PI.

This is the aircraft (although, when I flew it as N297N).

    Departing SYR

    Breaking through the clouds

Entering EWR airspace, vectors for the 4's

"Straight in for the 4's, break off to the right, circle for 29" was the normal approach when landing on runway 29 at EWR

    This is BI.... Before Ikea

    Short final, 29

    Entering the ramp, Terminal A

    Marshalling into gate 28

    Enjoy,

    AJ

Those are great AJ, lots of memories as I was Piedmont also at LGA. I got one F-28 jumpseat ride on a 4000 from BDL to SYR during a thunderstorm not to long after the Empire merger. The F-28 was a fun little airplane as long as you were not a ramper, I worked one once while cross training on the ramp (I was customer service) and man those bins didn't have much height. And you were so right about Piedmont helping get employees home, and I was very fortunate to enjoy many jumpseat rides mainly on the 727-200. Long live the Speedbird !
