Gov Christie To Fly State Flags At Half-Mast For Houston

    This is ridiculous.
Yes she was a wonderfully talented singer and it was sad the way she died but.....REALLY?

    SHE DOES NOT DESERVE THIS!!!
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

What's the big deal? She's probably one of the best know NJ natives, it's a show of respect for one day.

While there's no doubt she WAS (past tense) an amazing artist I think things like this set bad examples for today's young adults.

    Exactly what Tom said.

Gerard, I hear the half staff news this morning and at first was also surprised. Glad I am not the only one.
Addiction some call addiction a disease.
If that is the case, it is as much a disease as parenthood. It is a choice and you choose the path you can take.
Whats worse about all this is that the Houston kid is even worse off and was reported to be hospitalized the day BEFORE for issues. In other words, this story is far from over.

Christie has sailed south in my opinion based on this. Poor judgement. Maybe he would have put flags up at half staff for Paterno too. Oh yeah, double entendre.....half staff....sure his crony Sandusky would have loved any staff....

Seriously, what the F*%K is wrong with the values here?

A crack ho is a crack ho, talented or not.

Who knows how many lives I've touched or saved, healed or cared for in practice. In practice 15 years, no drugs, clean life and you, me and all of us will go to our graves with little to no fanfare.

    Values.....or lack thereof...
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Just when I was starting to feel good about having moved to NJ

Maybe in his grief Christie will roll back the Turnpike toll hike....oh wait....that would help the citizenry

This is a lot to do about nothing. When Elvis Presley died (under very similar circumstances to Houston) Flags were flown at half staff. Christie is just showing some respect to a woman many in NJ feel is an icon. He has bigger issues to deal with like his veto of gay marriage. This is mostly a non-issue.

I want to say that I think Houston was SOO very talented, and the path her life led down is a tragic waste of that extreme and rare talent. THAT is the tragedy....her wasted talent. Wasted. I don't feel she should be put on a pedestal post-mortem, as it does set a bad example to younger people based on how they will live their lives.
