Nice shots Eric! Great catch on the CargoLux 748. Loving the HoBe shots! Will never turn down a chance to snap pics of the heavies banking of 31L!

Did Air India send a 772? For some reason I feel like I'm used to seeing 77W's. Great catch on the China Eastern A346!

    Thanks for sharing!

Awesome stuff! That Air China shot was what I was gunning for last month, but I kid you not, they sent him on 4 just for me a whopping 90 seconds before his departure.

Frank Charles park? That spot is dead in winter you have to head south and cross the bridge to get to the spot you need to shoot at. Start bribing your hosts or pay their gas LOL.

Dennis.....spotting location B (HoBe - short for Howard Beach). One way to get there with paying lots of money for car service, is to take the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) to Jamaica, and then take the AirTrain to the Howard Beach Station. The AirTrain will cost you $5.00 to get on and then $5.00 to get off, plus whatever the LIRR cost you from Lynbrook to Jamaica. You can walk from the Howard Beach Station to spotting location B, it would be about a 2 miles (3.2 Km) walk for 31L departs. The other thing is to post here on the forum when you might go spotting and maybe a spotter will be kind enough to offer you a ride, but more than likely you'll have to make it to JFK some way to make it easier for some one to pick you up (a good location would be Federal Circle on the AirTrain). By doing that you'll save yourself $5.00 as well.

Spotting location E in Howard Beach also as Nick states isn't good for the winter months. It would be a waste of time trying to photograph from there.

In all seriousness, if/when somebody learns when Air China's 747s are going to be replaced by the 77w on the JFK route, please let me know. I will try to find some way to get up there and shoot it before the 777 shows up!
