My wife and I picked up an annual membership today at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. With spotting locations disappearing at BFI like no one's business (though I heard I missed a killer day today of arrivals), and the zoo right up the street from our apartment, I see myself spending a lot more summer evenings here instead of at the airport. I spent a lot of the time around only a handful of animals that usually stay quiet all day but were unusually active(ish). Also, being 5Dmkii-less for the past few weeks, I've relearned that my 7D--which has gotten way less love & affection that it used to--produces some pretty wonderful results still. The zoo feels way more like shooting fish in a barrel than it did prior to my visit to South Africa, but at least I know I'll come away with a few winners!
