    JFK - 1/18/2012

I was hoping to catch the Singapore A380, but she was on the otherside and out of view. I ended up with these few shots as the winds were kicking.

Emirates coming off the hardstand and getting towed to the gate (A6-EDM)

Alitalia getting ready to taxi out (I-DEIG)

For obvious reasons I think this will be my last post for night shots, plus it's too darn cold!!!

Yeah, I hear you Mark. To be honest, I am surprised I have seen as many night shots from JFK as I have lately.

The other thing, is there is too much clutter and very few opportunities as well.

Steve ..... Here is probably my first night shot (Manny, should remember this one). It was taken from HoBe at ISO 10,000 of the DreamLifter as she departed off 4L.

Looks like you yielded some good results after what I'm sure was a nice and cold bike ride over from Lynbrook.

Mark we have definitely tried it in the past... and of course I remember the Dream Lifter fiasco... how can I forget?

But good things come to those who sacrifice...

Mark and I have tried other times when we had nothing better to do after a full day of spotting

    or the hunt

    semi serious

and recently too before I got serious this past couple of weeks

Thanks for the inspiration guys.....my next trip to JFK is going to me like no other trip I have made there before. I am spending two whole days spotting at JFK (one arrivals and one departures) and to finish off the first day of spotting I will be doing night shots. Definitely will be my finest JFK spotting trip to date when I do it in March.

Glad to hear you had a good outting, a incident free run in with the law, and a free cup of java from Rick (who is the manager at Panera).

For planes parked back by where the DreamLifter was, I think a little driving down by the end of Lefferts Blvd by the AirTrain station can offer some quick views. Legal and public.
