    WSSS (Singapore) Spotting Break

    Hi Happy New Year,
Visited India for family wedding and could not pass up a pit stop for some spotting

Was not even aware of this one!

    Love this colors...

    My WSSS-VABB flight....inbound

    Early morning is the best...

Lifted off 1/2 length... must be headed to VHHH or RJAA

    Size comparision

    Starting the remaining 2 Trents....

Horrible shot thru the glass... but shows the WORLDS LONGEST FLIGHT (19+ hours) to our backyard barely clearing the sailing ships in the harbour (ship warning is noted on the charts!!)

All this spotting is a very tiring business.... 380 gates have other traffic for now!

Night time is the majical times.... WSSS really picks up after 18:00 and stays busy till just past midnight...

    European departures...

My flight next afternoon... PAPA WHISKEY did the double duty.... flew WSSS-VHHH-KJFK

    Cheers,
    Raj

Awesome is an understatement. The night time shots to me are the best...now i have to spend a day in that hotel!
Very good job, how long did you have the aperture(AV) on your camera?

Changi Crowne Plaza is located top of new Terminal 3! If ever visit, request room 8 or 9th floor and you'll be in spotting heaven! Heat haze can be a problem sometimes, however 70-200 on crop sensor is perfect for A330 and larger.

Raj, we missed you on Monday for the SIA A380. I know you would have wanted to be here. Glad you are having fun while out there. Terrific set of images...

Canon 7D, 70-200 2.8/L non IS , I use manual mode @ f/8 and meter the shutter.... it was 15s for this one.

Manny I would have love to be there (see you guys had good wx too)... except just came back the day before and the last VHHH-KJFK leg on CX846 did me in... had to get some rest. Got right bk to work and still have not opened up my Hong Kong spotting folders :-)

Amazing set, Raj, thanks for sharing. Traveling around like that makes every single plane a unique one for a spotter.

Nick agree, and who needs a pub, if we ever get few NYCiers there, I'll buy first few rounds!. Great place to just soak in the action and enjoy the busiest time of the airfield.
