N777AS was parked in front of the Triple Hangars yesterday. She has been very busy lately carrying supplies I believe.
Aspires to become an Air Traffic Controller at Kennedy Tower.

Last night (11/13) I was watching plane finder, when I saw a flight number SAM9701 over the North Fork at around 19,000 (which is basically the same altitude that traffic from across the pond is when heading to JFK). Looking at the details it turned out that SAM9701 was an IL-76, which arrived on RWY 4R around 11:15pm. I took a quick ride to JFK this morning (11/14) to see if she was still there or departed some time this morning. To my surprise two IL-76s were sitting at the triple hangers. Here are the resulting shots. According to Akie the birds are no longer there.

Met up with Mark and Manny. It was good to see some familiar faces and take a short break from recovery.

Nice seeing you too as well. It was refreshing to see you with smiles on your faces despite what you went through ...

It was definitely refreshing to get out for a short while and see Eric and Manny as well. I wish I could have stayed longer but had to attend a family function. I hope to be out and about more often within a few more weeks as my apartment gets restored to a livable conditions.

I see two interesting inbound flights to JFK for tomorrow, 11/24. Scanair "SUS868" and Aerobeira "ARA107".

Anyone have any idea what those are? ARA107 seems to have come in several times already. I should be out tomorrow.

EDIT: Nevermind, ARA107 is just Arik Air. Why is it inbound at that time?

    That's Arik Air. 3 or 4 times a week I think?

Yeah, that looks like Arik. I guess the 4PM arrival is just a standard FlightAware mistake. Still don't know what the SUS is though.
