    KORD 12/26/11

After a few consecutive years of failure I finally nailed a good O'Hare outing. Met a small handful of the new O'Hare locals involved with the successful airport watch program. Appears to be paying dividends for the place and the photographers...

+1 on the Blue UA 747. It's nice to know that ORD is becoming friendlier to photographers. There are a few interesting flights that land there which I would love to catch someday...the China Southern Cargo 747 is one that comes to mind.

How long before the tulip c/s is all gone ... how sad. Even though the old Continetal globe is also a Saul Bass design (revised to its current form by Lippincot), it is not nearly as elegant as Tulip in my opinion.

Two thumbs up for the United 747!!! Now if JFK would implement a program like that, we'd all be winners!!!

I too enjoy the tulip c/s, but liked it the best in the days of the white orange and red. Never cared much for the pre-merger colors.
