Could use some advice re FRG. I'm hoping to get by there on Sunday for an hour or so for some shots, and have a Nikon Cool Pix P90 or something like that. Any thoughts on where I should park myself to get some decent shots through the fence? I'm going to go into AAM for a little bit, but I'd like to get some departure/ return shots. I've seen the FRG spotters guide, but I'm not entirely confident the spots and my less than professional level camera will matchup. I've taken photos there from spots a/d (terminal and 56th FG) and was at the final tomcat fly-in near spot b (the Dave and busters mall). I was goingto take a look at spot c (new highway) for the 14/32 departures to try and get the military's launches. Am I wasting my time with that camera going there or do I have a shot to get something decent?

Also, will anyone be over there on Sunday if I have a question or two?

    Thanks.
    -TJ

Statement as of 10:00 AM EDT on May 25, 2012

Patchy dense fog will be possible through noon today across the
area. Visibilities in fog are expected to range mostly from 1/2 to
1 mile... with local reductions to 1/4 mile or less in spots.

Now you don't mean Steve me Steve, do you? All I did was report what I saw this morning as I passed by JB. I mean, just because I had to work today and could not partake in the practice show doesn't mean I would wish any ill will or weather gremlins on everyone else.

PS - It better be nice tomorrow, I'll be there.

I'm currently sitting in lot 4 and can only see half the water tower. Hoping it burn off a little. Have to work this weekend.

On the boardwalk. Unless there is such a thing as a Cat III ILS airshow there will be no flying here any time soon.
