Had to add 1 final shot, this one from the office on Monday. After giving it the treatment, I just really liked the way it came out.

Thanks guys! William, the B-17/moon shot was set at 5 sec @f8. I'll be honest, I was so distracted by the fact that I was walking around all of these beautiful planes out on the ramp that I never would have seen the moon shot if Fred hadn't pointed it out that the moon was sitting in the perfect spot in the sky.

Yes Steve...but you pulled the trigger at just the right time and for the perfect length of time. Don't blame that shot on me!
The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".

My photos didn't link last time I tried the single image coding, so I'm just attaching the link above to my Flickr account. Only my aviation stuff from the last two weekends are on it, starting wi a few of the shuttle hooked to the crane (but bot yet lifted), with some of the JFK departures that were happening while I was there. The rest are my airshow photos from Jones on Saturday and Republic on Sunday (unfortunately I got to FRG right after the Raptor did its flyby). Enjoy.

Thanks. I was excited to get that one. That was from waiting for the shuttle to be craned over to the barge. I couldn't stick around for the main event, but there were a few nice departures while I was there. My favorite was the Cathay Pacific, just bc I got the landing gear in transition, it the China came out pretty clearly. My girlfriend liked that one too for the flower on the tail. She thinks the Cathay looks too much like its a us postal service paint scheme or something like that.

While not as clear as most of the photos you guys take, this was a nice surprise when I emptied the memory card from Jones Beach. I like how the trailing plane is reflected in the lead plane's smoke.
