Great customer service!!!! Apple is so with it

Some of you know that I was pretty anti-smart phone for a long time. And recently when the iPhone 4S came out, I got one and within 2 1/2 weeks Ended up going two of them.

The first one came shipped directly to my home with the cracked glass over the camera lens. It was my first experience through Verizon and it was pure hell dealing with them.

And the second one came to me but it would automatically raise its volume on its own. It was a funny quirky little ghostlike feature and this time, I brought it back to the Apple store on Halloween evening and showed them how this thing would just raise the volume to the max on its own. After resetting it and finding the same problem occurred, they just handed me a new phone right there.

Now I've also had an Apple MacBook for close to three years now. In fact I have about a month left on the warranty extended warranty that is. Anyway my experience with my first laptop and Apple MacBook, has an excellent the only thing I've noticed is that cut several months ago the screen would randomly flicker black. It happens at random and no rhyme or reason to itit'll just be a quick blink. I took it to the Apple Store last month, they ran diagnostics and found nothing wrong, and so they decided to replace the entire back screen. So the rear clamshell of the laptop the entire display board was replaced. Great. New parts all covered under warranty. Took the computer back and that night the same problem occurred. So I took it back again this week.

This time, he went through his own logic and saw that my motherboards/logic board has two chips , one for better efficiency I suppose and one for better graphics performance. Anyway he said changing the chips would be the way to go but that since they were integrated into my logic board they would have to replace that.

So if I'm understanding correctly I'm getting a new motherboard, And two new graphics chips. So in the course of the month and also within a month left of the warrantee I got a whole new video display new graphics cards and motherboard. It's like I'm getting a whole new computer!

All in all, comparing this to my previous experiences with Dell, I have to say I'm very happy. With Dell I would spend hours on the phone struggling with accents from various parts of the world trying to fix my computer. With the Apple it's easy is this dropping it off and coming back and picking up. I've spent a fraction of the time dealing with the Apple. But I highly recommend it!
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

That's something people always seem to forget when they complain about Macs being more expensive.

It's unfortunate that's the way the market for computers has evolved, but you really do get what you pay for these days.

Sure, your $700 Dell might run just as fast as my $1400 MacBook Pro. But if it breaks down, you'll have to spend hours on the phone hoping for a resolution which might involve shipping your computer to whoknowswhere, whereas I can just bring my computer to a real, live, English-speaking person and get it fixed either on the spot or in a reasonable period of time. Sure, you could also bring your Dell to a place like Geek Squad, but their main motivation is making money on repairs, whereas an Apple tech's motivation is making you happy.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

You should hope that the repair doesn't fix it, one more major repair and they'll replace it with a brand new one or give store credit for the value of a brand new one.
