    The Macro Thread

I would like this to be a learning thread with lots of examples and your best Macro shots...Q&A's and all... Please participate so others can benefit.

I just received my set of Extention tubes and I am starting to have fun with extreme Macros.

(Taken with my Tamron 28-75MM 2.8 at 75mm f-16 with all tubes used)
I will take more with the tubes as it brings it very close turning any "Standard Lens" into an awesome Macro!!!

I purchased these for $4 shipped and they still are on sale for $10.75 shipped at this link
    amazon link

Previously I used my 70-300Macro Tamron and had some really great results

    (Soap Bubbles)

(water drops in the kitchen sink)

    (Epsom Salt)

    (Cake Dot type sprinkles)

Of course I have many more but would love to see some of your Macros! Please advise on the lens used and please post any info that would be useful to others. I will post better details in the future but wanted to get the link out so you guys can order it while on sale.

I love Macro work. I bought a Canon 100 f/2.8L Macro for my wedding business and I've played around with it a lot.

Here are some of my favorites!!

Fred, obviously you've piqued my interset more than usual!!! That first pic is great. I'm actually going thorugh my photo db in my practice with some of the everyday macro stuff we take in the office. Will post soon!!

Hey, can you take a photo of what your camera looks like with it all set up? And how close to the subject do you have to do to take a pic of the eye?

I'll send a pic of my setup as well. Working on it!
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Haven't done much macro photography, but here are a few shots taken with my 105 f/2.8 macro lens:

Wow, really crisp top notch stuff!

So as I mentioned, you've inspired me to peruse my photos in the office. I'm going to share some eye pics but most of them have a story behind them. I may start another thread as I dont want to take yours off topic.

Fred .... awesome! Extension tubes is something I've considered investing in, but thus far have yet to make a purchase.
