Dreamliner ZA 006 Today, ay 30,000 + feet

per flight aware. ZA006 is going to be on a marathon 20 hr + flight today overflying JFK, PVD and BOS. Of course it's going to be cloudy and raining! They are heading to Dacca the long way.

Listening to CD at Dulles once, I heard Springbok get a full route clearance, trans-oceanic and all, over the radio. Must have taken 7 or 8 minutes for the controller to read the whole thing. I was secretly hoping for the pilot to respond and say, "Springbok 208 heavy, cliiiiiiihd to Johannesberg, dirikt WOOLY, and could you repeat the riiiiist?" But, no, he read it back... all 7 or 8 minutes worth. I can just imagine whoever else was waiting to push fuming at getting a delay for this.
