    JFK 11/26/2011

Went out to JFK today with Jens from Stuttgart, Germany and later met up with Manny and Mark H. They bounced around a couple of times between 31 and 22 - ATIS was reporting 31 arrivals, but by the time I got there, they were using 22. We started with some 22 departures at Bayswater, headed over to Firestone when they switched runways, went back to Bayswater to catch the Emirates A380, then finished back at Firestone.

Cargo Airlines 742 doing an A340 imitation on climbout...

Going through my photos tonight, I saw the Emirates A380 had this design on the nose. It marks the 40th UAE National Day, celebrating the founding of the United Arab Emirates on December 2, 1971. I haven't been able to find if they all have those markings, or if Etihad also carries them.

jetBlue's newest Embraer - so new, I didn't even have it on my list, so I still have 4 to go...

This is getting to be a rare sight.

Finally, Iberia A340 making some contrails overhead.

Nothing really special today, just some nice weather, and a chance to spend time with friends old and new.

    Great shots John!
I did enjoy every minute and look forward to meet you again in late December/January.

The PIA 777 is a killer shot too. Unfortunatelly I was short of time.

    Regards from the freezing Stuttgart/Germany
    Jens
