    Wunala Dreaming - DFW 10/15/11

Been AWOL for a couple months. With going through an Aircraft Dispatch school myself, moving to Dallas and now teaching Aircraft Dispatch, life has been very hectic. Unfortunately, spotting has been the area I cut back the most in my life to make room for my busy schedule. Not anymore, at least I hope. I will hopefully be making trips to local airports more regularly and posting some Dallas/Fort Worth shots. Stay tuned for those.

In the meantime, I have been wanting to catch Wunala Dreaming for a few years now. Moving down here meant I would have ample opprotunities to catch this one, as there are only 6 747-400ER's in Qantas's fleet. (1 in 6 chance everyday it flies in here)

With a lot of teasing from Wunala, coming in on days I absolutely could not get out (during my FAA Practical exam for example), last Saturday proved to be just perfect for a first sighting.

Normally Qantas arrives about 1:30 PM local time, but Saturday was about 2 hours late, arriving at 3:40 PM. Light couldn't have been better. So, here is what I have from the first of hopefully many sightings of this beauty.
