Xi'an, China 10/16/11

Greetings from China,

I flew into Shanghai on Thursday, 10/13/11 and saw the Polar/DHL 747 but it was really smoggy and I didn't get a chance to get an image of it. On Saturday I flew to Xi'an and was able to do some shooting on Sunday from the terminal. The action is non-stop at this airport and although you are shooting through two sections of glass, the views are amazing. Xi'an is also the home of Xian Aircraft Company and there were lots of new aircraft sitting on the ramp, not close enough to take good photos.

On Sunday when I arrived back into Shanghai, the new China Southern A380 was sitting at the terminal, fantastic.

I can't say I'm a fan of the A380 by looks, but jeez does that thing look classy in China Southern paint!!! On a somewhat unrelated side note...I wonder what a Gulf Air A380 would look like....just sayin'
