    KMIA 10/6-10/7 EXTREMELY image heavy!!!!!!

Shot out at KMIA 10/6 and 10/7 and had nothing but a blast. The people are great the views are tremendous, and the traffic is unbelievable. Had one run-in with Miami-Dade's finest...shooting from the El Dorado location I was parked on the street, shooting alone on the barrier wall so I could see over the fence (which was about 50 feet ahead of me). The exchange went as follows:

Officer: "you have to leave...we can't allow photography"

Me: "Sir, I understand you have a job to do and I will be happy to work with you, but how can you not allow photography here, yet you put holes in the fence with a sign PROMOTING photography on the other side of the airport?"

    Officer: "well, since 911...."

Me: (realizing he had no badge, cuffs, or other weapons I somewhat cut him off) "what about 911?"

    Officer: "really? come on"

Me: I shoot in NYC where the officers come and shoot with us!

Officer: you need to leave, you're in my jurisdiction

Me: I understand...where does your jurisdiction end? If you don't mind my asking.

Officer: that parking lot over there

Me: OK, thank you for your service...take care sir.

I proceeded to shoot from the El Dorado parking lot the rest of the day and there wasn't a thing he could do about it (no issues from the owners of the property either).

spotter blotter aside, the traffic was tremendous and the view is great...everything on runway 9 is literally right in front of you.

Mikey...absolutely gorgeous set. The amount of cargo birds and variety there are amazing. Definitely on my list of 2012 airports to go see.

    thanks Mark and John!

John- If I'm still in the area I'll definitely show you around! It can get a little on the slow side but the diversity is incredible

HOLY MOTHER OF ALL CARGO BATMAN! That was as Nick would say..."EPIC!" That almost beats a Sherpa picture! WOW, Well done man, Well done!
The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".
