Wanted to commend the news staff here. I was searching for the N number for the crash and you guys were the first to post it. Before all the other news sites. Excellent.

Thanks. NYCA crisis center was activated! Half-kidding, but Matt and I sat down once we heard and start researching, scouring and calling people for info.

And the Chicken Little politicos are already clucking. Carolyn Maloney is already calling for the FAA to ban all "Unnecessary" helicopter traffic around Manhattan. Zzzzz...

"Chicken Little Politicos are already clucking"- I love it! Perfect description of who they are and what they do.

Ehem, OK, let's then start by shutting down the highway that is Canal Street between the Manhattan Bridge and Holand Tunnel.

Next up, shut down the Cross Bronx, followed by the Whitestone Expwy. Please add to this list any highway where there has been a single accident.

Oh wait, there have been at least 5 accidents in the time it took me to write this down. Just in the US mind you... so let's just shut down all unnecessary car travel too while we are at it. Any reporter that asks for this should immediately stop going to their "Copter [enter whatever channel you want here]" for the news from above.

And since I am on a roll, let's also stop the cops from patrolling and simply only use the helos after the crime has started to finish the job...

One of the pilots yesterday for CBS 880 News was great in saying that they are looking for FACTUAL information and not the rumor mill that it always starts with one silly misinformed reporter to say the wrong thing and spiraling things out of control.

I heard that. It was Tom Kaminsky from Chopper 880 who said that.
And I also used the vehicle analogy with a number of people on FB who were whining about the "danger of helicopters". More people are killed by Tour buses than helicopters.
Oh I could go on but why bother. More clucking politicos today on the News. Its amazing these idiots got elected.
And on 1010 WINs on the 5:40 headlines a reporter called the helicopter a "Bell 206 JetLINER"!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!
