Living The Dream...
Gerard I do understand you... but.... for me it was one of the best airshow this year :) I hope next year we will have a 2010 Oceana Weather, cuz it was just perfect....

Even though the conditions were less than perfect, you guys came away with some interesting and creative shots. I really like how the afterburners look in the overcast conditions. They REALLY stand out. Hope the weather is good next year, as I think I may make the trek down there for the weekend.
Great work, Chris, I really like those!

Thank you Moose! I did probably my best on fighting with wx conditions and processing :) In november I have 3 more airshows and I hope to show something with better colors :)

Great shots guys !!
Weatherwise, Oceana 2011 left a little to be desired. However it was great meeting up with old friends and having a fun time with my son. Here are some shots from the show:
From the Friday practice show, taken on Oceana Blvd:

Even this guy was pulling vapor .... lol
Great to see a Skyhawk again:
The mysterious other side of a vapor cone - (since I missed the good side ... hehehe)
Nice burner trails and wingtip vortices:

Nice stuff Issac! Love the backside of the vapor cone.

Great shots everyone! Rode shotgun again with Manny to NAS Oceana. Met up with Mark, Chris and others. Despite the weather, I had a great time. Finally got use my new Nikon D5100 & Sigma 15-500mm (thanks to Manny the "Instigator"). I still need a lot of practice. Here are a couple from the weekend.
