Manny, thanks for the comment man! I really have no set formula for this effect. Really it's just a couple of layers with passes of the diffuse filter, opacities set to taste, and a bit of trial and error. If it doesn't look good, I muck it and try something else lol.

Kris, your little sister??? Where??? lol I really like the pool shot. Looks like something you'd see in a travel brochure.

Thanks sir... I will see how I can get a better result. Methinks it's the subject as well.. it works better with details than with continuous smooth areas...

Thanks guys, I did this over the fish tank but that did not stop most of the water from getting all over the kitchen. I had 3 full sized bath towels on the floor and they were saturated...after cleaning that up I asked my boys to help with a forth towel and that did not go over very well. After asking them very nicely while holding the kitchen knife, I go nothing....and had to clean it up my self. One was on Battlefield 3 on xbox and the other one was killing zombies on my iPad....

I wanted to get the Temple monument in the middle when I spotted her stopping right in middle of the traffic, just to check the msg and then was going before I could take 2nd shot!

Our friends from HOBE... feasting on the offerings that the worshipers leave behind. (their siblings may have been involved in US 1549!)

Thanks Moose... I just pulled on the side of the road for some grazing cows photos, however the shepherd that tended the herd was very friendly and wanted his photo taken!
He wears a very traditional dress and the 'silver' wrist bands & belt are probably a family heirloom. Both shawl and turban are pure wool as Dec/Jan is also winter time in Gujarat (lows are about 50'F)

From a recent trip to London (sorry about the grain - I was doing academic research and only had the camera I use to scan documents)
