    KJFK 7/18/2011 The Mounds

    Decided to head back to the Kennedy, my first time since March of this year. It felt great to hold the 100-400 lens in my hand again, shooting the wonders of aviation. XL had another daylight flight this month which was a bonus. It wasn't too hot at the mounds with the sea-breeze coming in. The mounds have been consumed by weeds and brush and its almost impossible to walk.

    Nice set Luke. I happened to see both the KLM and Air Europa as I was getting to FRG tonight. They should have landed a few minutes past 7, great job getting them posted so fast.

    I don;t know how you made it out there tomorrow... but anyway, must have missed you by an hour or so :-( I was there most of the day on and off between Bayswater and North Woodmere and The Mounds...

    Wish I would have stayed for the XL !!!! had no idea it was due in... GREAT SET!
