    Questions about Kid's Day

I attended Kid's Day last week and had a great time. I am curious why only 3 passenger aircraft are included each year for boarding. Could they "squeeze-in" let's say a UAL aircraft 1 year? I also was wondering if LGA still has a VOR in operation? Kudos to the PA at LGA who wisely shut-down Rwy 4/22 during the festivities. The arrival pattern of ILS 22 circle-to-land Rwy 13, was lots of fun to watch. Can't wait for next year's.

Space isn't the issue. It's probably due to United's participation, which is likely because they don't have a large operation at LGA and don't have a plane that they can afford to park for several hours like that.

Why would you think LGA doesn't have a VOR in operation?

    LGA VOR ?

Thanks for your thoughts on the lack of participation by UAL at Kids Day. Re: LGA VOR, I can't seem to find it on the LGA Diagram. However, I see what appears to be a VOR structure on a hill just east of RWY 4/22. That must be the VOR. If memory serves, UAL did participate years ago at the show.

There's a link to a VOR/DME approach at LGA... You can see where the VOR is..

Yup, the LGA VOR is on the airport diagram and I missed it. I guess my eyes aren't what they used to be after 2 surgeries. Again, thanks for your help.
