I wish that was before September. My kids would have loved to have gone to that. Oh well, plus its the weekend thatI'm travelling to TN to see them, so it looks as though I"m missing it either way.

    Any more information on this?

As it's called "Kids' Day", do they assume it will be all families? Will anyone object to me showing up with some friends and a whole slew of pro camera equipment?

You'll be no different that the rest of the NYCA crowd...yes, it's called "Kid's Day" but it is an open house for anyone who wishes to attend. As noted on the flyer Darlyn linked to, head toward the Marine Air Terminal, and look for the signs for parking - make sure you tell them you are there for Kid's Day, and there is no charge to park! You can pick up the shuttle bus outside the lot, which will take you to the flight line gate. There, you will board a bus ramp-side, which takes you to the festivities. There should be a couple of airliners you can tour, *maybe* some military hardware, the C-47 and some armor from the American Airpower Museum, and perhaps some others (the Skytypers usually come in as well.) During the day, PAPD gives some demos of their crash trucks, K-9 unit, and such, and has much of their hardware on display. They also offer free hot dogs and water. And they don't mind that you take pictures of the aircraft operating in and out of LGA during the day.

    Hope to attend

Just my luck, I hurt my left knee Sunday evening. Hard to walk and my knee "buckles". I keep icing the area. Orthopedist says no breakage; could be torn meniscus or ligament. Will try to attend. Had great time last year.
