This is always a great show with a surprise fly by or two, or four (Raptors) The lighting is tough but the statics are often spectacular.

Not counting on Raptors this year since they are all still grounded... but I will be there.

I wasn't suggestingthat Raptors would be there this year, I just meant it as an example as there are always surprises, the first time four Raptors showed up was awesome, just like the E-2 flybys and the B-52 and B-2.

Yup me too. Coming up from 2 days in DC and this time I will stay over the night of the show also. Last year I bussed in on Tuesday and bussed out at 430 after
the show and between that, traffic, then LIRR I still didnt get home till almost 9. Not this time. And after the show there was live music on the Boardwalk amongst
    other things to enjoy.

We lost the MV-22 flybys (for now at least they are trying to get another unit to step in) instead the Marine flybys will consist of CH-46E's and MH-60S'. Additional C-130J flybys have also been added.

Am I reading it right that this thing is on a Wednesday???

Why on earth is an airshow scheduled for the middle of a work week? I got all excited thinking I was going to go but there's no way I can pull that off

Yes, it's always been on a Wednesday. AC doesn't have any problem attracting people on the weekends, it's a way to bring them in during the week.

And guess what, it is one of the best airshows and attracts top talent and acts... one year both TB and BA both in one day... but it is not the best venue for photography light-wise and the protruding pier at show center is a real killer!

Oh man when I went there last year the day before and saw that pier I was WTF!!!!!!!!?????
But the day of the show I positioned myself south of the pier about a half mile or so and it was perfect. And so was the bar selling Vodka Lemonades at a reasonable price !!!
