'tis true. Just checked the LH site, flights 400/401 and 404/405 will both be 744s.

Odd, since they'll have four A380s by winter. I guess they'll be using them elsewhere.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

No complaints here. I love seeing the 744s in LH colors and maybe it'll increase my chances of getting their 50th Anniversary scheme. Plus, its not like theyre going to be using the A330.

Sorry but any time there's another 747 coming, it's good news to me...

Well, they do have a hard on for their new 747-8i to fill routes that the A380 was never really meant to fill (I believe that's what they said) :-)

Source is Lufthansa. The reason is they can not fill the plane in the winter I suspect.

They did use the A330 for the LH400 last winter.

As a general rule for the future, we like an actual link to be posted to any news declared as fact. But excellent tidbit!

Thats why I'm excited that they are using the 747 instead. Unless of course they are going to split up the week between the 330 and 744 like last winter.
