Nice stuff Rich! I wish they would land the 22's when I come up there. Don't get me wrong, I love photographing from Castle Island, but Constitution Beach looks like a great place to spot from also!

Constitution Beach is my favorite spot at Logan... Plenty of parking, refreshments, restrooms and shade..........

Nice set Rich. Constitution Beach is indeed awesome when the 22s are active.

Steve, when at Castle Island, don't forget to drop by Sully's (Sullivan's) near the Fort to grab a cheeseburger. Always a must for me.

And, on the water (harbor) side of Fort Independence, there's a little dock you can walk out onto and catch the landings on the 4's. A long lens is required. Example, heavily cropped: http://www.pbase.com/wvphoto/image/76228109/original

Bill - Last time I was at Castle Island I stopped at Sully's to grab a breakfast sandwich. They hadn't started serving lunch yet. That breakfast sandwich was quite good. I was going to head down to the dock the last time I was there had there not been a slight fog in the air near the airport. I was having enough trouble getting the planes in the sky.

Steve, cool; wasn't sure you knew about that dock area. Most people just stay around Pleasure Bay to photograph, especially in the afternoon because the lighting can be so good there.

Yeah, the last time I went there I actually sat up on one of the benches right against Fort Independence and snapped off pics from there. A little bit different angle than sitting down by the water. Plus its elevated a little.
The first time I went it was already afternoon, so I stayed on the west side of pleasure bay and actually started over by the South Boston Yacht Club.

The SATA flight arrives usually around 7PM so this time of year is the only time to photograph it in decent light.... SATA runs 2 times a week during the Winter, and additonal flights during the summer months up to 7 days a week
