Jones Beach Airshow May 28, 2011....beach not included...SUPER IMAGE HEAVY

I decided to leave the beach to the gulls & crabs this year for the airshow and spent my day at the American Airpower Museum at KFRG. Had a great time spotting there, as well as on the hill near Dave & Busters. Enjoy the pics!

Hope you all enjoyed, catch all the rest of my shots here:

With them using One Nine for the departures and arrivals that was THE location to be. And great Flybys all day (Sunday I was there). I ran down to One Four a few times to catch FiFi coming in as they were using that (then Three Two on Monday) for their departures. Its funny there still were a lot of people hanging out by One Four on the hill by Home Depot on Sunday when it was obvious (I guess ) all the action was either One Nine or even on Rt 109 by Runway 1 to catch them departing. Oh well.
BTW the green covering on the fence by One Nine/Dave & Busters took quite a beating this weekend!!!

cowens727, great shots! Were you there Sunday?

Gerard, where on the hill were you? I was on the D&B hill from 12:30 to 3PM on Sunday. We couldn't have been standing too far apart (I was North of the threshold of 19).

LOL probably standing right next to you. There was a nice crowd there also. I left once to see the A-10 and F-18 depart over by Runway 1 in the back lot of Atlantic. Almost got my ears
blown off when the 1st Hornet left. Didnt know the 2nd Hornet was going up and was in the bathroom at the Terminal when the walls shook. And it wasnt cos of anything I was doing!!

Thanks guys! I was there on saturday, and only spent my last hour at the D&B hill (which was just in time to catch the Hornet and Corsair fly-bys...). Between there and the ramp at the AAM I had dope views all day....

BTW, anyone know who was up in the old tower on saturday? 'Twas quite jealous of them....
