Man that fog was heavy given the fact that the sun was out pretty strong... it was actually perfectly clear by me when you took these!

Love that AFR 747.. I need to catc hit. Saw it on Friday but weather was terrible and I was too far away :-(

Lately there have beem more go arounds at JFK than I can remember, could this be a result of the Michelle Obama mishap?

Nice stuff eric. When did AF start flying the 747 into JFK? All I've ever seen is the A340, A380, A330 and 777.

Thanks.... Its not that they have started 747 service, they have always had it, its just when the A380 started flying you have just seen less of them. It was a sub for the A380 today. Kuwait flies the 777 to JFK but on occasion we get the A340. Swiss flies the A330 and sometimes we get the A340. It happens.

Yeah, that makes sense. Just curious thats all. Only sub I've seen for the A380 is the 777. Maybe next time I'm there I'll get lucky and see the 747, or I'll just have to catch her at KBOS.

Sweet grab on the AF 747........on the way home from work I was going to head over to the mounds for an hour or so, but as stated the fog came in so I just kept going home. Maybe today (4/26) will be a better day.

Dont forget KLM also, they change aircraft to JFK often, normaly we would get a 777 or 747, we can get an A332 or even an MD-11 as a sub, never know..

I am dreaming of seeing an MD-11 as a a/c sub into JFK one of these trips down.

Was out for a bit, nothing but the usual stuff when I was there. Took a grand total of 11 shots.
