For those particular images I used a 300mm f/4 prime lens with a 1.4 teleconverter, plus throw in the camera crop-factor of 1.5, I get 630mm and an f-stop of f/5.6Zee71: is that 400mm on a NOT full-frame camera?
50% cropping on the first one..
Although it seems like I'm close I'm still far, but shortening up the distance definitely helps.

Depending where you are positioned ...... 300mm to 400mm should be fine, then a little cropping. Here is the final batch of images from me. Right around 5-ish the oversea flights started departing!!!! All the images I posted in this thread were 31L departures.
One more Lufthansa A380 shot, but with the other camera (the first few were with the 300mm+1.4 TC) with the 80-400mm lens.
