    50% cropping on the first one..
    For those particular images I used a 300mm f/4 prime lens with a 1.4 teleconverter, plus throw in the camera crop-factor of 1.5, I get 630mm and an f-stop of f/5.6

    Although it seems like I'm close I'm still far, but shortening up the distance definitely helps.

    Depending where you are positioned ...... 300mm to 400mm should be fine, then a little cropping. Here is the final batch of images from me. Right around 5-ish the oversea flights started departing!!!! All the images I posted in this thread were 31L departures.









    One more Lufthansa A380 shot, but with the other camera (the first few were with the 300mm+1.4 TC) with the 80-400mm lens.
