Now that's the first thing that makes sense in this whole mess. There are plenty of documented cases where people have done things "not in their right mind", and later have found to have a brain tumor or something, while on the surface seeming otherwise fine.
Unfortunately this happened in NY, and I can see some of our illustrious senators pressuring the FAA to require mandatory CAT scans now for all pilots.
