    PHL 4/3/2011

When I took a trip to Nashville this past weekend I flew back to Providence through PHL on Southwest. I wasn't about to go on a trip that connected through one of the busiest airports in the country without whipping out the camera. This was the only good point about my flight out being delayed an hour and a half.

Photos were taken through the terminal window, so I apologize in advance for any quality issues. Enjoy!

As we were taxiing to our gate I saw this guy parked at the terminal. Lets just say I was anxious to get off the plane as quick as I could to get it before it left.

Was surprised when I saw all these guys on the ground when we landed. Then they popped up out of nowhere over the top of the jetway.

US Airways A330s were coming in one after another

Forgot the Lufthansa A340 flies in on Sunday afternoons

Snapped a pic shortly after departure

Thanks Manny! Yeah, the first two I could have gone a little more in PS. I forgot to go back to them. BTW..That probably was the best time I've ever had waiting for a delayed flight.

Ha! I wish... I am nothing but a hack... I just recently started to find out more about the real magic behind the filters and the algorithms ... too cool! The more you know about how filters work, the better you can use them.

    thanks for the kudos

Nice job! The 53s did a flyby over Citizens Bank Park during the Phillies game on Sunday and even the television crew broke away from the game to show one of them flying over!

Lufthansa brings the A340 each day of the week - flight 426/427.

Nice set considering you were behind the glass. What is the USA 3000? We do not get them in MSP

USA3000 has two or three flights each day into PHL... Cancun, Punta Cana, and Ft Lauderdale... I think...

Thanks for the compliments guys. I am amazed with how some shots did come out being shot behind the glass of the terminal window. The heat shimmer was CRAZY. Lets just say these are the only salvagable shots out of about 100 taken.

That particular USA3000 flight was arriving from Cancun.

I was wondering why the 53s were there. Thanks for the info on the Lufthansa service. I'll be sure to remember next time I go through PHL that they are daily.

Very nicely done! Hard to take shots through the windows given the daily afternoon backlighting. Nice overhead of my home spotting area

    Hog Island Rd FTW!
