The Douglas DC6 was Delta's first pressurized aircraft.

In the early 1950s, Atlanta became the testing site of Delta's flight scheduling model.



Planes were scheduled to bring passengers to a hub airport where travelers connected to other Delta"s flights for destinations far and near.
