they flew right over my 'hood as i was driving into work... was nice to see a superbug low, slow, dirty and loud!! the strange part is i couldn't figure out what they were doing, looked like a right 360 off the ILS approach to 4 but i heard later they asked LGA tower for "room to maneuver."
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Yeap I've got some footage of them circling the whitestone bridge. They did their run and disappeared for a good 10 minutes then landed on I believe 4. I didn't catch the launch (totally forgot it was opening day). As a matter of fact, I didn't even hear them. Which is weird considering how close I am. I'll be more prepared on Friday for the Mets home opener

Pretty sure they departed LGA around 0900 Saturday morning as something was so loud departing LGA it woke all 3 of us (my wife & daughter & I) up from a sound sleep up in the Bronx. Was definitely at least twice as loud as an MD-80, had to be them.

I went to CitiField but saw no fly-by. It was very low-key even the fans weren't excited. Last year, they had a fly-by and I saw some former Mets stars and met Jackie Robinson's wife Rachel. All I saw was a Mets dog smoking a pipe. At least, I got to see aircraft departing from 13.

No fly-by at Citi this year, not sure if it was scheduled, but it could have been canceled due to the weather...it was cloudy with some drizzle just after the game started.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
