    JFk 3/27/2011

Sorry no photo's from me today, but I was at Lawrence Highschool to play a baseball game and had a great view of JFK traffic as it flew over head.

Saw that LH brought in the A380 today, Austrian brought in a 777. And within about a half of each other I saw 3 Atlas 747's come in. thought that was kind of odd.

    Did anybody go out today?

I was out at HoBe for about an hour, looking to catch the Lufthansa A380. I was sitting at the light before the bridge when the first Atlas 747 departed. I caught the second one, the third was still on the ground when I left.

This guy transited the area - it says "Prism Group" on the side.

Nice shiny airplane - you can see the engine reflected in the fuselage.

Not sure about the first, but the second Atlas was a 744.

John, wow that A380 bank is sweet!! I was out early early in the morning. Bayswater did not open at the scheduled 9am :-( but thankfully they switched to the 31s ... had a birthday party in Montclair so I had to leave by 12:30. Ended up in HoBe for the Air China Cargo departing but she turned early :-( Too bad I could not stick around... light was DELICIOUS!

Did get to spend an hour or so near EWR and caught a few there... saw an AFR A330 hit bad wind-shear and thankfully execute a successful missed approach. Pics in a few...

Thanks guys! The conditions were terrific this afternoon (well, maybe a little cold and windy...) made for some good shooting.
