    JFK 3/26/11 - USAF C17 (IMAGE HEAVY)

Was out for a full day of spotting yesterday with Steve, great to see you down here again!

Here was the catch of the day, popped up on 31L, caught her from bayswater since they were on the 4s pretty much all day, not the best light, but made the best out of the shot:

Here are some shots from the day, still have too many to work on, enojy !

I am glad someone caught that C17... I missed her come in and when I came back up to the tower someone texted me and told me but by that time she was far from my line of sight by the TWA hanger.

Out of curiosity, what do you shoot with? Lens wise, that is.

I had a blast Kaz. Your shots came out great! The choice of runways may not have been the greatest, but we did get some good shots. I will definitely be making another overnight trip within the next month. I think next time the over night part will be after the day of spotting so I can get out and do some more spotting the next day.

Here's a few more from what I had put in the other post:

A little heat shimmer, but still wanted to share

    My take on the C-17

Was gonna pass on this but decided to snap one pic. Glad I did, after Kaz realized it had a ribbon

Rom - Not to jump in and answer for Kaz, but we were both shooting with the Canon 100-400 L series

We were actually heading back out to the truck so I could grab a folding chair to sit in down behind the wall there to get out of the wind. We got about halfway to the gate when I heard them clear it to land on 31L. We sprinted back out to the point. Glad I was paying attention to the scanner that time!
