BTW, The LAN is a 767, The TAM is an A330 ;-)

At 200mm it is amazing you got such identifiable shots... !

You didn't get the C17! Watching it from Hobe was epic!

    Rush hour at JFK today

Joke aside, what a bust this afternoon. I got there late, around 3:30pm, just as they switched to the 4's... Bayswater was totally backlit, went to HoBe, nothing going on... NOT happy :(

They jerked the runways around a little today. Were on 4s when me and Kaz got there this morning and shot some departures from the mounds before heading to Bayswater. We left Bayswater for a lunchbreak around noon to wait for the switch to the 31s, but that didn't happen so we headed back to the mounds for some more departures. Then after a few heavies departures we heard the switch to the 31s. They only stayed on the 31s for about 2 hours then it was back to the 4s. Ridiculous! And missed Emirates A380 as we never heard it check in and it came out of nowhere while at Panera!

Was nice seeing the C-17 landing on 31L. I'll let you post that one Kaz. You beat me to the punch with mentioning it.

Anyways, here's a few from today:

    Mounds in the morning:

    Off to Bayswater:

    A clean Air France!

    Back to the mounds:

Finally they switched to the 31s:

A light C-17 gets off the ground in a BIG hurry. Heck, even a loaded -17 doesn't use up all that much runway.
