JFK 03/11/2011 - Lufthansa A380 Returns Under Better Weather

Came out today to try and catch Flight LH400 Lufthansa A380 before it disappeared for a month. The clouds opened up long enough for gorgeous light.

Met up with Moose, Eric and Mark at HoBe for what turned out to be a not so spectacular LH401 (light-wise)

Superb stuff Manny. Now, I'll never understand why people shut down the shades upon landing...

Great catch on the LH Manny! I guess it doesn't avoid you like the Finn does;).

    Thanks guys...

Adam, she could not escape my shutter today... I saw her leave Germany on Flightaware and then I tracked her down to the last 20 miles. From there, I carefully monitored both CAMRN approach and ATIS and when on 31s, I knew it was a lock. The only other variable was the weather... and the gods smiled (for a little while)

Rom, the sun bothers their eyes or their sleep! LOL. I am the jerk across the aisle asking everyone to pull up their shades

His "little" buddy showed up two minutes after

Over to HoBe for the departure, captured a few priors...

and finally, the finale to a fine spotting afternoon (sans the heavy clouds and the darn delays at the ramp)
